What a weekend!!

Time for some catching up....remembering....my life is full!! Thursday was an Olivia day, but with Bill's help I did duck out and visit with two of my church sisters. Joan is such a sweet friend and VT companion. We've been VT buddies for 15 years, which is pretty sweet. The rest of Thursday was spent doing some prep for Friday and Saturday events, plus I fed my latest addiction and made a few cards.

Friday Olivia and I worked hard to clean, cook and shop. Karen finished her teaching week feeling horrible and so I decided that Olivia would be having her first sleepover at Nanny's. She is such a good baby, and she was so very excited to greet Emmy and Finley when they arrived. She just overflows with excitement....how I love these little reunions.

After a quick dinner and cleanup I had some card makers arrive and we had a grand time creating three different cards. After driving a few home, I came back to get into birthday mode. Tuesday the twins will be three but we were starting the celebrating early with a family gathering on Saturday. Keah is such a dear daughter in law, and she had a great party planned for the girls.

After a late night of baking and decorating we were up early to finish our food prep. Family started arriving just before 10 which is when I realized that I had the party start time mixed up ( I thought it was 11) The good thing about family is that you can get away with not being totally ready... thanks to all who pitched in. The food was great, and the girls were pretty excited to open gifts. I think the most precious time was when candles were lit and the singing began. Both girls went into humble mode, and could hardly look at everyone....Emmy told me later that she really liked when everyone sang to her. It was a fun time....except that once again our direct family was sparse...Karen was home with a strep throat, and of course we always miss our western children....glad when they face time in!!

After a trip to the doctors with Karen, Olivia stayed on for a second night, and Michael, Keah and I  settled in for some Settlers of Catan. With the time changing, we made it an early night ( plus we were all pretty tired)

Sunday began with three adorable little toddlers bouncing on my bed. Then after breakfasts, and  dressing up for church we were off and out the door. Church was good, lots of talks around, family and especially marriage. My lesson in Sunday school was from D&C25...and I enjoyed teaching it today...some good participation indeed. Last for the day was are time in Relief Society and it was very uplifting. It's always nice to reminded of how special it is to be a daughter of God!!

The afternoon brought a nap for Olivia, a sunshiny walk with Emmy and Finley, a visit to Karen's to return Olivia, then some games with the girls tonight, a wee bit of TV ( Love Amazing Race), and watched some of the Bible series. That kind of sums up a busy, fun filled, never dull, happy, sometimes exhausting, uplifting, and I could go on....weekend.
